Emotional Fitness: The Shift That Returned me back to Myself.
At some point in midlife, I had this moment of “okay… something’s gotta give,” because all the things that were supposed to work… weren’t.
Like I said before, for years, I blamed perimenopause for everything: the mood swings, the brain fog, the “what the actual hell is happening?” moments.
But if I’m honest?
Some of that wasn’t new.
At some point, I realized something uncomfortable:
I couldn’t outrun what I was feeling.
Not with therapy.
Not with meditation.
Not with pushing my body to exhaustion.
Everywhere I went… there I was.
So, I made a decision that didn’t fully make sense on paper.
I left a job that “no one ever leaves.”
I stepped into the unknown.
And I said yes to Emotional Fitness.
Not to fix myself.
But to understand myself.
And that’s when things started to shift.
I stopped trying to avoid my emotions…
And started working with them.
I stopped performing, proving, and polishing…
And started showing up as my actual self.
Not perfect.
But grounded. Honest. Free in a way I hadn’t felt before.
Through my work with the AH-HA Healing School, I began to release limiting beliefs, question old patterns, and reconnect with the version of me that had been hidden all along.
Here’s what I know now:
When midlife hits and you’re thinking:
“What is happening?”
“Who even am I?”
“What do I want?”
CONGRATS! You’re waking up.
And you get to choose:
Stay where you are…
Or get curious, get uncomfortable, and come back to yourself.
Because Emotional Fitness isn’t about avoiding hard emotions.
It’s about building the capacity to move through them, with more awareness, more intention, and more self-trust.
If you’re ready for that kind of shift, to release limiting beliefs, strengthen your emotional fitness, and reconnect with your authentic self…
I’d love to invite you to join us.
We’ll be gathering at Menla Retreat Center
June 4th–7th for the Emotional Fitness for Perimenopause & Beyond Retreat.
This isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming back to who you already are.
If you feel the pull…Come Join Us!
